The 7th Annual GMPE is done!   Many (274) came in spite of the rain!   Thank you to all the volunteers, supporters and paddlers who made the 7th races a success!    ​

Ontario Marathon Canoe and Kayak Racing Association,
in its Annual General Meeting October 28th, has voted to award the
2017 'Race of the Year' Distinction
​to Great Muskoka Paddling Experience
for the 4th time since its 2011 inception!
Also in a rare tie vote, the 'Race of the Year' is shared with
MRX's 24 Hours of River X.
Congratulations to MRX organizers Rob & Mike!

Muskoka is the ultimate winner! 
The bean counting is done! 
Great Muskoka Paddling Experience is proud and pleased to award amounts of
$1,000 to the Muskoka Watershed Council,
$1,000 to the Friends of the Muskoka Watershed, and 
$3,500 to the Muskoka Paddle Club.

Welcome to Muskoka's 7th Annual Paddling Race (2017)

A fun racing experience for canoes, kayaks & SUP*s for all levels of participants
In support of these three organizations:
Muskoka Paddle Club
Friends of the Muskoka Watershed
and
Muskoka Watershed Council

Saturday 7th of October, 2017  (Thanksgiving Weekend)

Three race lengths: 5, 10 and 20 kilometers
Kayaks, Canoes, SUPs


Numerous boats and distance categories!! See list here.
Races underway at 10:45am, 11:35am & 11:40am)

Registration via online and Saturday morning  (8am to 10am).
​Fee:  
Adult $40; Youth (<18) $30 via online registration        
​Adult $50; Youth (<18) $40 on-site registration (Oct 7 only)
​Fees are discounted $8 for members of OMCKRA & Sprint Clubs (
OCSRA)

This year, 2017, is Canada's sesquicentennial (150th).
Voyageur Canoes are expected to play a role in high-lighting the  sesquicentennial celebrations.
